Tips D-man Gudas taken by Tampa Bay in NHL Draft

Make it two Silvertips now taken in the NHL Draft, as Radko Gudas was taken by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the third round on Saturday.

The defenseman was the second Czech player taken in the draft and the fourth D-man from the Western Hockey League taken in the draft. He was also the second defenseman taken by the Lightning in the draft.

He joins Kent Simpson as 2010 draftees from Everett. It’s the second straight year the Silvertips have had two players taken in the draft.
