Silvertips D-man Theriau taken by Dallas in NHL Draft |

It’s a great day to be a defenseman for the Everett Silvertips, as another has been selected in the NHL Draft.

Alex Theriau has been chosen by the Dallas Stars in the fourth round of the draft. He joins Radko Gudas as Tips D-men who have been drafted today. Along with Kent Simpson, that means three Everett players have been chosen in the draft.

Theriau had four goals and 24 points in 70 games for the Tips in the 2009-10 season.

It’s the first time since 2007 that three Silvertips have been taken in the draft. The year that the most Everett players were taken in the draft was in 2006, when four Silvertips were taken.
