Citizens against scantily clad baristas launch website |
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
As promised, Take Action Snohomish County launched its website this week:
"We are a group of concerned citizens who are demanding that our city, county and state governments enforce the current municipal codes and close the loopholes that allow unregulated adult entertainment businesses, which are currently licensed as other businesses, to operate in our family neighborhoods."
"We're trying to say call them what they are," one of the group's organizers Shahram Hadian told me last week. "If they're dressing and behaving like an adult entertainment businesses, they need to be licensed, permitted and zoned accordingly."
The push for tougher regulation comes in the wake of five Everett baristas being charged with prostitution for allegedly engaging in groping and other sexual acts, including flashing their breasts to customers for money.
